Ford revealed the all new 2015 Everest, which is due to be launched in Asia, Africa, Australia and other markets in 2015.
Everest is based on Ford Ranger with extensive off road capability. With months of testing in the heat of Arizona, it is built to stand the toughest climate of an Africa, Australia and other Asian countries.
Under the hood, Ford is offering only one variant in petrol engine which is turbocharged 2L , 4-cylinder engine, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Ford claims its new series of ecoboost engine outperforms 3.5 liter engine in terms of power.
On the exterior, Everest is equipped with LED Daytime running lights (DRLs). Under body aluminium protect and Chrome front grille. The new design is dubbed as bold, stylish and more aerodynamics with the drag coefficient of 0.369.
There is lot more going into the interior of 2015 Everest. Loaded with SYNC2 infotainment system with an 8-inch touch display, USB ports, 240-volt socket for the second row, 12-volt outlets in the front and second rows, and the trunk.
It comes with a host of optional safety equipment such as Hill Start Assist, Hill Ascent & Descent & Curve Control, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Aid, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, Roll Stability Control and ESP.
Ford Everest is likely to compete with the likes of Toyota Prado and Nissan Pathfinder in the market.
